When you click on the Live Demo it goes to a hacked page so I’m not so sure about downloading this template.

Jennifer, many people have been using this template. The problem is not with the template.
The live demo is the problem. They had all the demo’s on their subdomains and now many can be see as hacked. Do not worry, the download link if from a safe area.
